wildbestia ::: Favorites Just another thought... Imagine a Russian in 1937 who was arrested by Stalin and sent to Siberia... Now 1941, Eastern Front. That poor soul was sent to "penal battalion" and on the first day was captured by Germans and later died in concentration camp or killed in battlefield. So... how do we count him? wildbestia ::: Favorites well.. that's my point :) it depends how you look at it. i was using the word "FORMALLY"... the "survival" percentage after 1945 is known, but I don't know it - it's available even online probably. They were released in 1953. So I guess from those who were arrested after 1945 survival percentage could be somewhat high. But those before 1941 could die from many things - working in military factories, fighting in "penal battalions", starving (as food went to soldiers), etc. etc. 07-09-15 15:12:37 __________________________________________________
