Please spell it out for me lol :D" Dawkins speaks with disdain to many that do not agree with his views. If you have a strong emotional attachment to the ideas Dawkins communicates, this may cause in you "tone deafness". Please see askegg's vid from the Atheist Ad Contest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-eo_KMKijQ Now please see GunneLPercher response to askegg's vid at approximately 5 minutes into: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpEyC9x805E GLP is so clearly offended by Dawkin's that he appears to give Andrew (askegg) low scores on scales that had nothing to do with Dawkins. My "Is it not enough" vids are inspired by Andrews ad and GLP's response. The first is a twist on the word "garden". The second on the concept of god and on Dawkins' imperious behavior. Even though I love to pick on Dawkins, I see nothing about him that is offense to me--I like the guy. At the same time it is obvious to me why he offense so many people. Some atheists see this too, but for others cognitive dissonance obscures their perceptions. "I can see Dawkins tone was sarcastic when talking about fairies. And this does offend theists. But Dawkins has asked people to show less respect towards religion, so I suppose he's just practicing what he preaches. :D" That's another topic, respect for people vs respect for religion. |

I think the idea that Dawkins is trying to offend may be something Americans read into his English accent.
