Description:

Not sure what symphony this is but the performance is really incredible. This piece of music was what Made Frank Zappa want to write music, according to his aurtobigraphy.

That's kinda what I mean by science experiment though. This stuff has value to me only in that it was someone trying to do something completely different just to see if it works even. Ultimately if it doesn't get absorbed into other people's music then that's the only value it has to me.

The siren should be a lot louder. The balance is off. The roar isn't loud enough or "liony" enough either. I love this piece, I've heard better performances. The snare "theme" is a little sloppy too...

Enjoy XXcentury music it is an act of patiente, probably there will be much more brainless snobs hearing "alternative" rock bands. Beyond any discussion, it is a piece of historical relevance: the first only percussion classical music piece, what means to be ahead. It opened many important doors to it's future. To enjoy it or not is subjective, but it is well written and it is still performed 70 years later by Boulez what in your criteria should be enogh to demonstrate its value

Sorry, he was old fashioned and may or may not have been popular still. Regardless I personally would not bet on this falling into the same line. Many people seem to like things purely based on how weird it is, like placing a bet so that if it gets popular later on they can say "I liked that before anyone!" I like avant-garde stuff, but this does nothing for me. You can enjoy it though, that's fine.

"bach was in fact regarded in his day as an old fashioned composer, and properly so" "there he (Mendelssohn) had come across coral music by J.S.Bach, wich was unfamiliar-at this time performerspreferred more recent music and Bach was largely forgotten" it is not mine but quoter from Stanley Sadie. By the way I never said that everything that's not shown is genious, I said that probably many geniouses have never been shown quiet a different thing.

Bach was popular while he was alive and went through a period afterwards where people were TRYING to not be influenced by what he did. That's a bit different. People are easily persuaded as to what's good by the media but that doesn't mean everything that's not shown is genius that's being oppressed.

actually it is slavery, our options are reduced to the industry desires, but all of us deserve other choices. For instance MTV is the only music information in many 3rd world countries. J.S. Bach wait 80 years after he died to come back to stages. It wasn't good enough? How many geniouses may remain unknown? But Britney...

So this music is equivalent to slavery? I mean, there has been music that was ahead of it's time that no one liked when it was created but now is commonly seen in everything we hear but I don't think this is going to be one of those things. For instance, it usually hasn't taken 70 years to society to absorb those sounds.
