Earthlinked ::: Favorites I have been playing the guitar (6 and 12 string) for about 20 years. As a beginner, you really do not want to start with John Denver songs!! He normally tuned the low E string to D and uses hammers like they were going out of style. It is a very sophisticated method -- sounds beautiful -- and usually made a little simpler by changing keys and using a capo. You right hand picking is usually thumb, ring, index and middle finger rotation.
