I used to have a pet tarantula. I used to handle her all the time. I took her to school as well as many other places. I know I'm not allergic, because I've been bitten a couple of times. But, I will say one thing, that bite hurt like hell.

This is totally wrong.... The female chilean roses live for about 20 years. That gel that they use instead of water is crap and does nothing. This type can be handled and is very docile. The heating pad isnt necessery either.... misinformative....
