"心太野" is a Mandarin version of the Cantonese song "Red Pink Faye Faye", which is a cover version of Lisa Fischer's So Intense. All the high notes Faye did were below high C, C6, they were not whistle register. However, Lisa Fischer did use whistle register in So Intense.

Duh, I meant she picked up, learned or "developed" such singing technique in her vocal repertoire, of course she did not came up with, originated or "developed" whistle register, as if I didn't know about Minnie Riperton or Yma Sumac. Mind you, Sandy Lam was the first one in Hong Kong music scene to sing whistle register.

No one ever said Sandy developed whistle register. Yma Sumac from the 1950's/60's used it too.

The thrilling high notes at the end of 沒結果 live in 1993 were very exciting, but they were sung in head voice, not whistle register, the so-called "海豚音". She went up to a high D flat in the concert. This 1994 recording is the HIGEST note Sandy ever recored in Hong Kong music scene, an amazing high A.

She is a good singer, but she isn't the one who developed the whistle resgister. I believe Minnie Riperton was in the 1970s. But someone may have developed it before her.

There is another 海豚音 performance when she sung 沒結果 in 1993 天地野花 concert. That is even superb.
