Description: A spoofed video performance of a song specifically engineered to win American Idol for the contestant brave enough to sing it. It appeals to Simon Cowell for his vanity, and all the judges' liking for a big finish. And the background singers get a lot of good stuff--sometimes they're the best singers on the show! It seems to have been inspired by a number of things from season 6: Sundance Head singing of "Nights in White Satin," Chris Sligh asking Ryan for a hug, and Leslie Hunt scatting. And more than one performer who was there due to pity (Sanjaya, you know who you are). Blake Lewis and Phil Stacey get spoofed because I have baseball caps and T-shirts readily available. Written well before the songwriter contest, but I didn't think it had very good chances. Share with friends
